Contact tracing an epidemic is defined as the systematic process of identification, assessment, and management of people who have been exposed and has successfully been used to contain diseases like the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.

 

Digital Footprints mission against the current threat of COVID19 is to be the ears on the ground, the helping hand that brings this threat to a standstill.

An initiative that began due to a concern for serious lack of the proper protocol and resources needed, we use the latest knowledge, technology, training and infrastructures at our disposal to support initiatives aimed at contact tracing.

Spearheading the drive to contain the spread of COVID19 is our driving mission. Engaging and mobilizing the community, particularly in environments such as South Africa plays a large role in accomplishing this. Ubuntu, an essential trait to being South African, is what we value most.

We are certified by Johns Hopkins University in contact tracing. Our team uses this training to build rapport with cases, identify their contacts, and support both the case and their contacts to stop transmission in their communities.
